YOUR WORK AND RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE IBM DATA ENGINEER JOB:
- Serve as a mentor or coach for scrum teams, guiding them in Agile Scrum principles and practices.
- Lead and facilitate task meetings, retrospectives, and iteration/sprint planning meetings.
- Expertise in relative estimation and story-based development.
- Proficient in conflict resolution and handling business analysis planning, enterprise analysis, requirement management, and communication.
- Provide objective guidance and create a safe environment for healthy conflict and collaboration.
- Implement agile techniques in different environments and cultures, focusing on team improvement.
- Conduct training on agile methodologies for the team.
- Successfully manage and execute agile projects of varying complexity.
- Identify and raise project risks in a dedicated manner.
- Ensure adherence to agile processes throughout project execution.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS FOR THE IBM OFF CAMPUS DRIVE:
- Strong knowledge and experience in Hadoop, Hive, Spark/PySpark, SQL, and Oozie.
- Proficiency in data modeling using Hive and programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala.
- Familiarity with Unix commands and basic Unix shell scripting.
- Experience in data modeling with SQL scripting, including Teradata and BDW data modeling.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THIS IBM KERALA JOB:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. (Preferred: Master’s degree.)
