YOUR WORK AND RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE CATERPILLAR IT ANALYST JOB ROLE:
- Codes, tests, and debugs programs of varying complexity.
- Participates in identifying and resolving application and technical problems, including providing support during off-shifts and weekends.
- Works independently on increasingly complex programs or subroutines.
- Possesses knowledge of current operating environments, programming languages, logic diagrams, testing, debugging, and documentation.
- Adheres to established development and support processes.
- Collaborates as a team member on one or more 6 Sigma projects.
- Considered a primary level of programming expertise, working within defined objectives and instructions from IT professionals to design, test, and document systems and programs.
- Collaborates with finance business users to understand their needs and develop solutions, proof of concepts (POCs), and recommendations.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS FOR THIS CATERPILLAR OFF CAMPUS DRIVE:
- Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency in current technologies, including programming languages, computing software environments, system integration processes, and development processes and tools.
- Possesses strong programming skills in Python and ReactJS.
- Has a solid understanding of web development technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, Node.js, and CSS.
- Exhibits strong knowledge in Java, C, C++, and NodeJS as part of the framework and stack.
- Possesses a strong understanding of database concepts and is proficient in SQL.
- Familiarity and exposure to machine learning models and algorithms.
- Previous project or corporate experience would be beneficial.
