YOUR WORK AND RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE GE HEALTHCARE ENGINEERING INTERNSHIP:
1. Manufacturing Shop Operations Supervisor:
- Supervise and oversee operations in the manufacturing shop.
- Manage sourcing and materials management, including procurement and material flow.
2. Sourcing/Materials Management:
- Handle procurement activities and manage material flow.
- Source and procure materials from suppliers.
- Implement efficient sourcing strategies to optimize cost and quality.
3. Technical (Lean, Manufacturing Engineer / Process Engineer):
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency.
- Provide technical expertise in manufacturing engineering and process improvement.
- Support site operations and ensure compliance with environment, health, and safety regulations.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS FOR THE GE HEALTHCARE OFF CAMPUS DRIVE:
- Previous experience as an intern, co-op, or in research related to engineering or manufacturing/supply chain.
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems within a team or manufacturing environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with individuals at all levels of the organization while displaying openness, transparency, and humility.
- Strong commitment to pursuing a career in supply chain or environmental, health, and safety (EHS).
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THIS GE HEALTHCARE BANGALORE JOB:
BE/B.Tech or Degree in Supply Chain
Candidates with a major in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Environmental Engineering will be given preference.
