ORACLE DEVOPS ENGINEER JOB DESCRIPTION:
As an Oracle DevOps Engineer, your role will involve contributing to the development of software for tasks related to designing, debugging, or creating software applications and operating systems. your role involves developing and designing software programs for databases, applications, and networks.
RESPONSIBILITIES IN DEVOPS JOBS AT ORACLE INDIA:
- Work with cutting-edge technology to develop, implement, and support Oracle’s global infrastructure.
- Collaborate on the Exascale Cloud Service project, providing smart storage for Database Cloud Offerings in Oracle Cloud and Cloud@Customer deployments.
- Assist in the separation of Exadata Storage from Database Servers, a significant innovation in Oracle’s Exadata platform.
- Design and implement software solutions to validate and automate the management of Exascale Cloud Service, ensuring a highly reliable, scalable, and performant cloud service.
- Partner with core engineering teams to drive quality into the service development lifecycle.
KEY SKILL REQUIRED FOR THE ORACLE CAREER 2024:
- Proficient in automating tasks using Java, Python, Perl, bash, and Selenium.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle database, Storage, and Linux fundamentals.
- Familiarity with network fundamentals such as VCN, Ethernet, RoCE, TCP/IP, routing, DHCP, etc.
- Experience automating management of Linux-based infrastructure.
Preferred Skills:
- Cloud services management, monitoring, troubleshooting, and debugging experience.
- Experience with build automation, continuous integration, or continuous deployment tools.
- Experience with containerization technologies and modern tools such as Docker, Github, Jira, Swagger, Teamcity, and Bitbucket.
- Experience with Virtualization Infrastructures such as KVM and Xen.
- Working experience with Oracle Exadata Database Machine.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER JOB FOR FRESHERS AT ORACLE:
BE/B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
