YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES IN SOFTWARE ENGINEER JOB AT HEXAGON:
- Crafting test plans for new implementations and release testing workflows.
- Manually executing test plans and downstream workflows for frequent releases.
- Supporting manual testing of new implementations and addressing technical debt.
- Advocating for quality during the design and coding phases of development to ensure code testability.
- Assisting in deployments within the CI/CD pipeline.
- Maximizing automation coverage of test cases to promote the Shift-Left Methodology.
- Writing ATPs (Acceptance Test Plans) for test cases/workflows provided by Functional Engineers for product implementation.
- Utilizing the in-house framework or collaborating with the team to create a framework when writing ATPs for the product.
- Adhering to the QA process (Scrum) and minimizing reported bugs/issues post ATPs creation/execution.
KEY SKILL REQUIRED FOR THE HEXAGON SDE JOB 2023:
- Programming languages, including Java or C++, and API testing.
- Strong grasp of Object-Oriented Programming.
- Knowledge of Microservices.
- Proficiency with the Postman tool.
- Hands-on coding experience using automation tools such as Selenium, Coded UI, or similar tools with Java or C++.
- Familiarity with Jmeter is advantageous.
- Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with overseas counterparts.
