YOUR WORK AND RESPONSIBILITIES IN THIS SOFTWARE ENGINEER JOB ROLE:
Take charge of developing a feature or a small set of features through programming.
Collaborate with the team and follow guidance from senior members or management, while gradually developing the ability to work independently.
Utilize SDLC principles and methodologies such as Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring, and Testing Techniques.
Assume responsibility for resolving customer issues by comprehending and implementing GE processes through troubleshooting.
Develop code that meets established standards and achieves the desired functionality utilizing the technology chosen for the project.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS FOR GE SOFTWARE ENGINEER JOB:
Familiarity with Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, as well as Software Design Patterns.
Scripting skills (Shell, Python, Bash, Perl).
Proficiency in any programming languages including Java, C++, and Python.
Knowledge of unit testing using tools such as Junit.
Previous experience working in the Agile/Scrum software development framework or familiarity with it.
Understanding of Debugging and Troubleshooting techniques.
