DXC is currently seeking an Associate Professional Test Engineer to join their team. In this role, the individual will assist with testing, troubleshooting, and analysis tasks across various phases of network systems development. They will also provide support on the initial configuration and parameters of equipment for system credibility and assist in investigating and resolving matters of significance in conjunction with other engineering and technical support. The successful candidate will work closely with team leads towards the completion of specifications and procedures for new products, participate in writing test plans, and maintain records of test progress.

YOUR WORK AND RESPONSIBILITIES IN THIS ASSOCIATE TEST ENGINEER JOB ROLE:
Under the guidance of the team lead or management, the individual participates in and supports testing, analysis, and troubleshooting tasks during different phases of network systems development. These phases include integration, systems testing, interoperability testing, field test plans, and customer acceptance plans. The purpose of these tasks is to ensure the system’s credibility and viability are maintained.
The individual provides assistance in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of test processes and diagnostic programs for assigned projects. They collaborate closely with the team lead to develop specifications and procedures for new products, working towards their completion.
The individual takes part in creating test plans for assigned projects. They keep track of the progress of testing, document the results of the tests, prepare reports, and present the results as needed. Additionally, they maintain records of the testing progress.
The individual may provide assistance to the lead engineer or management in writing proposals that suggest new processes or programs. They also follow through on the implementation of these proposals.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS FOR DXC TEST ENGINEER JOB:

Pay close attention to detail and exhibit strong follow-through skills

Willing to travel as required.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THIS JOB AT DXC:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
B.Tech/B.E. in computer science or engineering or related field preferred
Zero or more years of network testing experience
Experience working with computer systems and their uses, network management and protocol system testing, data transmission protocols such as TCP/IP, etc.
Experience working with scripting languages such as TCL, PERL, HP, etc,
Experience working with operating systems, network equipment: switches, routers, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, etc.
