AIRBUS ASSOCIATE ENGINEER JOB DESCRIPTION (MASS PROPERTIES ENGINEER):

Role And Responsibilities:

• Support the design and development of overall aircraft target weights.
• Track the evolution of aircraft weight and center of gravity (CG) throughout the development phase.
• Develop mass models for loads calculations and inertia models for aircraft simulations in different configurations.
• Perform weight and CG estimations to aid aircraft sales campaigns.
• Drive designers, risk-sharing partners of Airbus, and vendors to meet weight targets.
• Prepare component weight and CG data for Weight review meetings and design progress meetings.
• Calculate delivery aircraft weight and provide technical reports for the weight and balance manual.
• Calculate weight and CG impact for customer modifications, service bulletins, weight repercussions, and technical repercussions.
• Alert Weight and Balance (W&B) Specialist about any significant discrepancies between estimated, calculated, and weighed values.

KEY SKILL REQUIRED FOR THE AIRBUS HIRING 2023:

• Graduate/Post Graduate Engineer (Aerospace Engineering / Mechanical Engineering).
• Strong logical reasoning and analytical skills (Data Analytics skills preferable).
• Basic understanding of aircraft design and sub-systems.
• Proficiency in tools such as Catia V5, PDM systems, and programming skills (preferably PYTHON or MATLAB).

Minimum qualification required for the Airbus aeronautical engineer job:

B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
