VOLVO DATA SCIENTIST JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Data Scientist at Volvo Group Trucks Technology Powertrain Engineering, your responsibilities include:
- Collaborating within cross-functional, agile teams on a global scale.
- Understanding customer usage and product performance.
- Developing and providing data-driven solutions throughout the product life cycle.
- Making meaningful interpretations, recommendations, and predictions from various data sources.
- Taking data-driven models from script development to practical use in Volvo’s products.
- You’ll be involved in agile team planning, creating solutions, and may contribute to both larger projects and short-term tasks to enhance existing products.
KEY SKILL REQUIRED FOR THE VOLVO RECRUITMENT 2023:
- Strong experience in data engineering and analysis.
- Knowledge of control systems and feedback systems.
- Proficiency in Data Modeling including regression, clustering, neural networks, and time series.
- Proven experience in data-driven problem-solving, prediction, automation, and real-time optimization.
- Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Automobile, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Proficiency with tools like Python, R, SQL, Git, Azure, Hadoop, and Matlab/Simulink.
- Experience with relational databases, data privacy, and IOT-based instrumentation design.
- Passion for converting data into knowledge using visualization tools like Power BI, QlikView, Tableau.
- Experience with plant/component models and their integration into SIL/MIL/HIL evaluations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIRED FOR POWERTRAIN ENGINEER JOB AT VOLVO:
M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical, Automobile, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
