DESCRIPTION OF MICROSOFT INTERNSHIP FOR STUDENTS:
- Collaborate with the Silicon team at Microsoft, specifically the CAD team, to contribute as a passionate and intellectually curious engineer.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the overall design system, including automation, software solutions, methodology, and infrastructure for internal design partners.
- Work with a diverse and creative team to build CAD automation solutions.
- Participate in designing and qualifying CAD solutions to address current design execution challenges.
- Apply AI techniques to enhance existing CAD workflows or develop new features.
- Embrace a growth mindset and adapt in a dynamic environment to continuously learn and improve.
SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THIS MICROSOFT SILICON ENGINEER INTERN ROLE:
- Familiarity with digital logic design, simulation, and object-oriented programming.
- Knowledge in areas like Data Structures, Circuit Design, Semiconductor processes, Probability and Statistics, Data Science, Machine Learning.
- Knowledge of semiconductor processes and manufacturing.
- Proficiency in probability, statistics, data science, and machine learning concepts.
- Scripting skills in languages like Python or Perl.
- Comfortable working in Unix/Linux environments.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills, contributing to diverse and inclusive teams.
- Familiarity with HDL languages (Verilog/System Verilog) and version control systems (GIT) preferred.
- Ability to apply AI techniques to enhance software development frameworks (preferred).
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR MICROSOFT OFF CAMPUS DRIVE:
B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
