Your Role and Responsibilities as a Trainee Clerical Marker at British Council:
Working as an IELTS Clerical Marker:
- Conduct assessments for various modules of an English Language Proficiency Exam, either in soft or hard copy format.
- Pay meticulous attention to detail to ensure the accurate marking of each paper.
- Identify and promptly escalate priority issues.
- Route or transfer issues to the appropriate resource or channel when necessary.
- Follow up on inquiries as needed.
- Maintain logs and update relevant data sheets.
- Meet hourly transaction targets while upholding high-quality standards.
Essential Skills Required for the IELTS Marker Job at British Council:
- Attain English language proficiency at a minimum level of IELTS band 6.5 or equivalent internationally recognized qualification (BCMS will arrange for language proficiency and certification tests).
- Possess strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office, and demonstrate proficiency in keyboard handling.
- Understand BPO processes, reporting, MIS, etc.
- Have 0-3 years of experience in a BPO environment.
For Freshers:
Proficiency in English Communication Skills, both verbal and written.
For Experienced Candidates:
Prior experience in Backend BPO processes where customer communication was a part of the role.
