ALCON TECHNICAL SUPPORT ENGINEER JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Maintain a customer-centric approach to provide exceptional support to customers in all interactions.
- Respond to customer calls and chat sessions, addressing issues and troubleshooting Alcon Medical Devices.
- Offer technical support by resolving or triaging technical issues presented by customers.
- Create service cases in Alcon’s Service Management System (ServiceMax) to document customer interactions.
- Follow up with customers as needed to ensure their satisfaction and the completion of support services.
- Dispatch service cases requiring field actions to the country’s Field Service Engineers (FSEs) responsible for customer accounts.
- Maintain a working knowledge of technical information related to supported products, company policies, departmental processes, regulations, eye anatomy, diseases, procedures, terminology, safety databases, and reporting tools.
- Inform management about potential safety issues, emerging trends, or concerns.
KEY SKILL REQUIRED FOR THE ALCON RECRUITMENT 2023:
- Strong customer service skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Technical knowledge and troubleshooting abilities related to Alcon Medical Devices.
- Proficiency in using Alcon’s Service Management System, ServiceMax.
- Knowledge of eye anatomy, common diseases, ophthalmic procedures, and terminology.
- Familiarity with safety databases and reporting tools.
- Effective communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to meet performance metrics, respond promptly to customer inquiries, and adhere to schedules.
