VOLVO GRADUATE APPRENTICESHIP TRAINEE JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities in the Apprenticeship Trainee Engineer job at Volvo India:

• Lead the entire Build process in projects, managing it from order initiation to final delivery.
• Specify test objects and handle the Bill of Material for these objects, overseeing supply chain logistics.
• Ensure the secure assembly of test objects and accurately estimate project costs.
• Manage processes related to Product Builds activities.
• Provide support for planning, assembly, and updates of test objects using virtual tools and techniques.
• Engage in routine activities related to Problem Solving, 5S, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor the performance of Product Builds, covering both virtual and physical build activities.
• Demonstrate initiative and proactivity, organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate with experienced professionals.
• Explore new technologies supporting Virtual Product Development and Simulations.
• Network with cross-functional teams, explore possibilities, and formalize insights.
• Utilize knowledge in Microsoft Office, CAD Virtual Tools, AR/VR, IPS (Industrial Path Solutions).

KEY SKILL REQUIRED FOR THE VOLVO HIRING 2023:

• Good knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI), CAD Virtual Tools, AR/VR, IPS.
• Familiarity with National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) SEC 22(B).
• Ability to quickly learn tools and techniques used in daily operations.
• Experience in Engineering Projects involving CAD, Virtualization, and/or simulations.
• Innovative or continuous improvement mindset.
• Proficiency in English language.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR MECHANICAL JOB AT VOLVO:

Pursuing a BE/ B.Tech/ ME/ M.Tech in related field.

Desirable: Engineering background in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Automotive.

Experience: Fresher
