Upstox Hiring Job Description

Roles And Responsibilities:

• Creating and deploying complex data processing pipelines in production based on Continuous Delivery practices.

• Troubleshoot and amend data quality issues heightened by downstream consumer or raised by pipeline alerts.

• You have to create and maintain clear documentation on data models as well as validation rules.

• Programming based on TDD (mainly in a pair programming environment).

• Advising clients on the usage of different distributed computing and storage technologies from the options available in the ecosystem

• You have to Design scalable implementation of the models developed by Upstox Data Scientists.

Preferably should have –

• Production setting experience of building data pipelines and data centric applications using distributed storage platforms like- HDFS, S3, NoSql databases and processing platforms like- Hive, Hadoop, Oozie, Spark etc.

• Must have ability to work in a consulting environment with strong communication and client-facing skills.

• Hands on experience in Cloudera, Hortonworks, MapR and/or Cloud (AWS EMR, Azure HDInsights etc.) based Hadoop distributions.

• Good understanding on building and deploying in a production environment of large scale data processing pipelines.

Graduate (BE/B.Tech) 2021/22 Batch

Skills Required for Data Engineer role at Upstox:

• Knowledge of distributed storage platforms like- S3, HDFS, NoSql databases.

• Should be comfortable in using Linux environment.

• Hands-on Experience of SQL (Expert Level) in Distributed Processing platforms like- Cloudera, AWS EMR, MapR.

• Fluency in programming languages like- Python/Nodejs/AWS/Java.
